Welcome to NHHS!
Welcome to NHHS!
Welcome as a new student at NHH – and thus also as a new member of NHHS, the Norwegian School of Economics Student Association! At this early stage, it’s completely normal to have a lot of questions. For instance, you might be wondering what the difference is between NHH and NHHS. One thing to note right away is that both the school and the student association are very fond of abbreviations – and these are just two of many! NHH stands for Norges Handelshøyskole (Norwegian School of Economics), while NHHS stands for Norges Handelshøyskoles Studentforening (Norwegian School of Economics Student Association).
The next abbreviation you’re likely to come across – if you haven’t already – is WW, which stands for Welcome Week. As the name suggests, we want to give all new students a warm welcome by hosting various organized activities to help you get to know your fellow new students a little better. Welcome Week will take place from August 10th to August 16th. You’ll be assigned a couple of friendly mentors who are here to support you and make sure everyone has a great time throughout the weekend. Your mentors will contact you and guide you through the entire experience.
We also encourage you to follow @nhhstudentforening on Instagram, where we’ll be posting regular updates leading up to and during Welcome Week. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via Instagram or email.
